Safeguarding children is at the core of both my personal and professional life. I have dedicated my career to protecting children and young people from harm and promoting their well-being and welfare.
Having worked with governments, international organisations, local authorities, schools, voluntary agencies, and charities, I have tirelessly toiled to influence both policy and practice to ensure children are protected from abuse and maltreatment.
For many of my clients, the starting point on their journey is to audit their existing safeguarding provision which I, or one of my experienced team, can facilitate. This valuable process highlights the strengths that might already be in place, but also identifies any specific areas that need to be improved. From this newly fortified platform, Kapasun can subsequently support clients to build a rigorous training curriculum.
This can include us facilitating whole organisation training events like, “Working Together to Safeguard Children” and “Preventing Radicalisation & Extremism”, as well as delivering training in key educational areas such as “Mental Health”, “Online Safety” and “Harmful Sexual Behaviour”.
Kapasun also works with Safeguarding Teams: providing “Designated Safeguarding Lead” (DSL) training, “DSL supervision” and safeguarding policy review and development.
Finally, we can work with your Personnel and Human Resources Teams to supply “Safer Recruitment” training to ensure all staff and volunteers are appointed correctly and that they are appropriate to work with children and young people.
